New orientations of research in Chinese medicines

Besides chirotechnology, research & development are focusing on modernization of Chinese medicine, functional foods, and natural substances. These developments fall in line with a general trend well documented in eCAM (1-5). Recently developed products are cardiovascular drugs vs. ischemia, a compound formula from triptolide vs. rheumatoid arthritis, diverse plant extracts vs. osteoporosis, Z-ligustilide, as well as anti-cancer and anti-oxidant compounds from Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Nuovi orientamenti della ricerca della Medicina Cinese

PearL Materia Medica Development (Shenzhen) Ltd. e lo State Key Laboratory di Medicina Cinese e Farmacologia Molecolare a Shenzhen, Cina, formano una struttura di ricerca che è stata riconosciuta dal Ministero della Scienza e della Tecnologia della Repubblica Popolare Cinese come unica nel suo genere. Oltre alla chirotecnologia, la ricerca e lo sviluppo si concentrano sulla modernizzazione della Medicina Cinese, sugli alimenti funzionali e sulle sostanze naturali. Questi sviluppi sono in linea con una tendenza generale ben documentata in eCAM (1-5). I prodotti recentemente sviluppati sono farmaci cardiovascolari contro l’ischemia, la formula di un composto derivato dal triptolide contro l’artrite reumatoide, vari estratti vegetali contro l’osteoporosi, Z-ligustilide, così come composti anti-cancro e anti-ossidanti provenienti dalla Medicina Tradizionale Cinese.
