Abstract

Cancer is a leading cause of morbidity, mortality, and premature death worldwide1. While cancer was previously a problem principally of the industrially developed countries, it is increasingly a problem in the developing ones. Today, half of the world’s newly diagnosed cancers and over 70% of all cancer deaths occur in middle and low-income countries.
