Abstract

The Italian League for the Fight against Cancer (Lega Italiana per la Lotta contro i Tumori = LILT) is a public body, financed to a great extent by contributions from private citizens. To further its aims, the LILT has launched a project denominated “VERSO” (Volontariato e Rinnovamento Sezionale Organizzativo = Voluntary Service and Organisational Renewal of the Local Sections), in order to promote new training courses for LILT managers, staff and for the more than 25,000 volunteers all over Italy.
